The Selkirk & District Arts Festival is making a return, showcasing the richness of local talent from Yearly in April. The festival, emphasizing community and inclusivity, will be held at the Selkirk United Church, located at 202 McLean Avenue.
The festival is dedicated to involving the community, inviting artists of all ages and diverse backgrounds in various artistic fields. It will encompass a wide range of arts, including instrumental performances, speech arts, dance routines, and visual arts displays. Regardless of whether you're 4 or 104, we want to see you!
The festival not only provides an opportunity for performance and adjudication but also offers a chance for nomination to the Provincial Arts Festival in Winnipeg, held at the University of Winnipeg in May.
After the hiatus caused by the Covid pandemic, Selkirk and surrounding communities are eager to showcase their talents, providing a closer-to-home opportunity for artists who previously had to travel extensively.
For those interested in being part of this event, entry forms are now available with a cut-off date of March 1st. Access details through the festival's Facebook page–
